PRIVATE BREATH & NATURAL VOICE WORK
Knowing why does not always change what happens next.
You can understand a pattern beautifully and still feel your chest tighten when the email arrives. The body is not being difficult. It learned something and kept the lesson.
Breath and voice give that learning somewhere to move.

The part beneath the explanation
Some patterns live in thought. Others announce themselves through a held breath, a jaw that works overtime, a voice that becomes smaller around one particular person.
You may know exactly where it came from. Your shoulders may remain unconvinced.
In these sessions, Mike guides the breath and Julia works with the natural voice beneath performance. There is no correct sound to make. There is no prize for pushing harder.
The aim is contact. You notice what the body is doing, work within your actual capacity, and make room for another response.
What a session can hold
- A feeling of being stuck after the insight has already arrived
- Difficulty speaking clearly in one relationship or setting
- A transition that has left the body braced for an old life
- The habit of staying composed long after composure has stopped helping
- A desire to feel more present in your own voice
You remain able to pause, speak, change position, or stop. Consent stays active throughout the session.
How Julia and Mike work
Mike came to breath through yoga, cold exposure, and the kind of high-intensity practice that can make sensation feel like proof. His formal training includes the Wim Hof Method, XPT, Sacred Breath Academy, and certification as an Energy Medicine Practitioner through Alberto Villoldo’s Four Winds Society.
Those systems gave him a wide range of tools. More usefully, they taught him how easily intensity can be mistaken for progress. His work now begins with capacity and consent, then follows what the breath is actually doing.
Julia is a classically trained vocalist. She has sung on opera stages and in rooms small enough to hear somebody put down a glass. Her work returns the voice to something more basic than performance: breath moving through a body that no longer needs to sound acceptable.
Mike shapes the breathing practice. Julia listens for what enters the voice. Together, they notice where effort has replaced contact and give the body another way to answer.
