Privacy
We've written this in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, because a privacy notice you can't read isn't doing its job.

Who we are
Anima Ventus is based in Cantabria, Spain. We are the data controller for the information described below. If you have any question about it, write to hello@animaventus.comand one of us will answer personally.
What we collect, and why
When you book a session. Your name, email address, time zone, what you've told us you're bringing, and your payment record. We need this to hold the session and to keep proper accounts.
When you buy a recorded reading. Your email address, the two questions you send, and the name you choose to give us, which does not have to be your real one. We need these to record and deliver the reading.
When you take the Twenty-Two Rooms assessment. Your first name if you give it, your email address, the room you selected, where you told us it's showing up, and your answers. We use these to send your result and, with your consent, occasional letters.
When you join our mailing list. Your email address and first name.
When you write to us. Whatever you choose to include in the message.
When you use the site. Squarespace collects standard analytics — pages visited, approximate location, device and browser. This is aggregated and we don't use it to identify anyone.
Health information, for breath and voice sessions
Before a Breath & Voice session we ask health questions. Some conditions, medications, pregnancy, or recent medical events change how we work, or mean we shouldn't proceed.
Health data is what the law calls special category data, and it's treated more carefully than anything else here.
We collect it only with your explicit consent, given when you complete the screening form
We use it only to decide whether a session is safe and how to adapt it
We never share it, and we never use it for marketing
We keep it for 6 months and then delete it
You can withdraw consent at any time, though we may then be unable to run the session
If you'd rather not share it, please don't book a breath session. We'd rather lose the booking than work without knowing.
Recordings
Live readings are recorded so we can send you the audio afterwards.
We ask for your agreement in advance, in writing, as part of booking. If you'd rather not be recorded, tell us and we won't.
Recordings are stored in Google Drive and kept for 6 months, after which they're deleted. We don't share them with anyone, use them as examples, or quote from them.
Who else handles your information
We use a small number of services to run the practice, and each holds only what it needs. Squarespace runs the website, forms, and mailing list. TidyCal handles bookings. Stripe processes payments. Google provides video calls, email, and file storage. All four operate servers in the USA and the EU.
We never sell your information. We never share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Some of these companies are based outside the European Economic Area. They transfer data under the safeguards European law requires, usually Standard Contractual Clauses.
What you can ask us to do
Under GDPR you can ask us to:
Show you everything we hold about you
Correct anything wrong
Delete it
Restrict what we do with it
Send it to you or someone else in a portable format
Stop processing it where we've relied on legitimate interest
Withdraw consent at any time
Write to hello@animaventus.com. We'll reply within one month, and usually much sooner. There's no charge.
If you think we've handled your information badly, please tell us first — we'd rather fix it. You can also complain to the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos at www.aepd.es.
Cookies
Squarespace sets cookies to make the site work and to measure visits. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may then behave oddly.
Under 18s
Our work is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have, write to us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information we'll update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and you're on our mailing list, we'll tell you.
Confidentiality
Separately from data protection law: what you bring to a session stays between us.
We don't discuss clients with anyone, we don't use anyone's situation as an example, and we don't confirm to anyone that a particular person is a client.
The exceptions are the ones any practitioner has. If we believed someone was at immediate risk of serious harm, or if we were legally required to disclose something, we would.
